About the role

The role requires a test lead to lead the application testing of enterprise applications within budget, timeframes, and quality standards to drive innovation and build digital capability within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Work independently to achieve product goals and uphold quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business owners, system owners, vendor teams, technical teams, and project and business teams regarding all testing issues.
  • Ensure all necessary prerequisites are delivered at the start of each testing phase and escalate critical blockers to project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with all source system owners and the TDS teams to address connectivity and other technical requirements or challenges.
  • Develop, review, and secure approval for the test strategy, test plans, and test cases.
  • Maintain test traceability matrices that align with business requirements.
  • Oversee testing activities and manage deliverables.
  • Lead Defect Triage meetings to ensure quick communication and resolution of critical defects. Host daily defect status and triage meetings to maintain defect resolution within timelines suitable for the overall test schedule.
  • Generate and present daily test progress reports and summary reports.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams to execute testing tasks efficiently.
  • Actively support the Business and Project teams throughout all testing phases, including UAT and post-production verification testing.
  • Stay informed on current and emerging technologies, with a focus on advancements in Test Automation.

Essential Criteria:

  • At least 15 years of experience in software testing.
  • Proficient in managing large-scale programs, including experience with SQL Server upgrades.
  • Strong background in data integration testing.
  • Proven ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experienced in supporting the lifecycle of digital design, development, testing, and business change management.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience as a Test Lead/Manager, covering the entire testing lifecycle.
  • Skilled in developing test strategies, plans, and cases for large-scale projects.
  • Knowledgeable in UI and API testing.
  • Proficient with testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress.
  • Well-versed in data migration testing, regression testing, performance testing, and accessibility testing.
  • Good understanding of non-functional testing methodologies.
  • Experience in test automation; a minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience is a significant advantage.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
